Meet Nicola Cairns
I'm a Scottish based artist and I’ve been working in the Art Industry for over 20 years. I specialise in figurative work and my style is influenced by pop culture and nostalgia. Previously, I owned an art gallery in Edinburgh and sold my work along side artists such as Peter Howson and John Bellany. My work has been exhibited in galleries around the world, including London, New York and Cannes.
I also have another art business called ‘Forever Wild Custom’ which transforms apparel, furniture and other items of curiosity into unique works of art.

Strong women inspire me. Women whom are unapologetic in stating what they want from life. Women who will wear whatever they want and act however they want regardless of age, size or others opinions.

Working in my studio with some great music on, a mug of strong black coffee or a cheeky wee dram brings me so much pleasure. Especially when I have a great idea for a piece, I get really excited about finishing it!

Amazing!! It is the best feeling in the world to know that someone loved something you created so much that they just had to have it.

When I was 39, I made it to the top 10 of a worldwide search to become the face of lingerie brand. I didn’t win but I did get flown to London to prance about in my knickers for a bit!
