The Village of Heriot

My client grew up in the village of Heriot in the Scottish Borders, and often climbed a local hill affectionately called 'The Big H'. He loved a particular view of his village and family home, as it brought back wonderful memories of childhood adventures.

After some ‘on the ground reconnaissance' and several photos later, we found the perfect perspective to commit to canvas. We even agreed to include the old phone box and railway station that were no longer in the current view, but both played their part in forming everlasting childhood memories.

Now my client enjoys his favourite panoramic vista from the comforts of his boardroom at his new company HQ.

Important 'reconnaissance' with my dogs. Helping me find the perfect perspective.

Searching the Archives for the old Railway Station. It just appears in the painting.

The Phone Box that featured in the painting. It had moved, but I found it!

The final painting! Framed and ready for delivery to the company boardroom. Such an exciting time!
